The Butler Group, based in Missouri, is a full-service multimedia production and entertainment services company that is registered as Minority (MBE) and Woman (WMBE) owned business enterprise.

The Butler Group’s team has produced feature length, miniseries, and documentary films, and develops corporate communication campaigns, multimedia educational videos and learning modules while supporting new artistry through music videos. They operate with purpose and maximize resources to fit budgetary constraints preparing projects for their final delivery across all distribution platforms.

The Butler Group is equipped to assist clients in creating multimedia campaigns and capable of capturing motion pictures, still images and audio. They offer post-production, delivery and distribution services handled through their extensive administrative resources.

Headquartered at Archview Media in downtown Saint Louis. The Butler Group has an additional campus of 80+ acres in North Saint Louis County and is developing the property to include a cultural arts center, outdoor amphitheater, and film training facility, and they have partnered with Lincoln University to use some of the campus for agricultural research and community education.

The Butler Group presents film camps, neighborhood food programs and community engagement through its lucrative partnership with St. Louis Filmworks, Missouri Motion Media Association, and Recording Academy, they are complimentary in their efforts to provide service to large entities and underserved constituents in our region. Through attracting and developing new business, these organizations work to find opportunities that will build and grow the community, train a new workforce and provide new market options for employment.

Monica R. Butler

Founder & CEO

Monica R. Butler, the owner of The Butler Group, has been a part of television, theatre, and film production for over 25 years. With passion and compassion, she has produced for Black Entertainment Television working with Bobby Jones Gospel and Tyler Perry's stage play production, and served as Producer at The Word Television Network. Ms. Butler has worked on many notable films, such as Jurassic World, John Wick, and The Butler, and has produced projects through her company, The Butler Group, and is preparing the next generation of young creatives with her digital media summer program, Film Camp USA. 

 

In addition, she’s the recipient of the 95.5 The Lou Phenomenal Woman Award and the KTVI 2023 Remarkable Women; and is a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America and a Producer of the International Gospel Music Summit. She serves on the Missouri Motion Media Association Board of Directors and St. Louis Filmworks. She is a proud member of the Recording Academy and the IATSE 493 Studio Mechanics.


Butler is passionate about building infrastructure for the annual summer youth program, Film Camp USA, which teaches children from 8-18 years old how to make movies while becoming a master of their own stories. The most common challenge she faces with this community program is locking in funding to cover the cost for all campers to engage in this program for free.


Lastly, with Butler's longstanding passion for gospel music, she has taken on a creatively honorable endeavor by being one of the visionary founders of the soon-to-be Gospel Music Hall of Fame - Missouri. Her company, The Butler Group, partnered with notable developer Steve Smith, CEO of The Lawrence Group and New + Found to redevelop the former Second Baptist Church on Kingshighway into a 40,000+ square foot museum, education, cultural, and performing arts center in the heart of the Central West End Holy Corners historic district. The ongoing goal is to raise awareness of gospel music's influence and impact on American culture and to improve mental health. The project is seeking funding from supportive gospel music enthusiasts from all over the country to gift into the development of this monumental movement.

Yolonda " Yogi" Yancie is a lifetime resident of the fabulous 18th Ward in the City of St. Louis whose family has over 75 years residential and active involvement in the community. Serving over 25+ years as a Professional Social Worker providing intensive Case Management resources to thousands of families in the local community North city, South city, and surrounding St. Louis County areas.

Aug. 4th, 2020, Yolonda won in an overwhelming 3-way election with an incumbent Committee women candidate and previous 2019 Aldermanic candidate. Also, a strong Advocate for bridging the gap in the community. One FAMILY at a time. Doing the WORK together...18th Ward PROUD!

Antonio Parker as operations manager oversees the organizational activities of businesses. Antonio is a professional in being a talented manager and leader. He often enough supports operational leadership in a variety of departments — from finance and IT to human resources and accounts payable. Antonio contributes to at both large and small organizations. As operations manager Antonio can supervise, hire, and train employees, manage quality assurance programs, strategize process improvements, and more. The operations manager is ultimately responsible for maintaining and increasing the efficiency of a business or organization.
