The Butler Group have partnered with The Lawrence Group. Redeveloping the Second Baptist Church on Kings highway as the Gospel Music Hall of Fame - Missouri, featuring over 40,000 square feet dedicated to this uniquely American art form. The fascinating facility will become Missouri's Gospel Music Hall of Fame Museum Cultural Arts and Entertainment Research Center & Music Education and Film-Media Production Studio.


Preserving and Enlightening a New Wave of Gospel Music

Special Upcoming Events

On this special night, we honor our renowned gospel legends of Missouri and stress the importance of gospel music and mental health as we delight the crowd with musical performances from national and local performers. Found by four church girls from Missouri who have united to preserve gospel music history and its future. The founders consist of the Film Producer and Owner of The Butler Group, Monica R. Butler, and the Committeewoman of 18th Ward and The Butler Group Director of Community Outreach Yolonda ‘Yogi’ Yancie.

The Butler Group and Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Inc. want your support in commemorating gospel music, honoring gospel legends, and celebrating the revival of the historic Holy Corners district by presenting The Gospel Music Hall of Fame - Missouri Gala "Friendraiser" at The Chase Park Plaza on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Doors open at 5:00 pm in the Khorassan Ballroom, then the program will start at 5:30 pm. 

These ladies partnered with the respected developer, Steve Smith of The Lawrence Group, to spearhead the 24- million-dollar project to turn the historic Second Baptist Church property at 500 N. Kingshighway Blvd into Missouri's first Gospel Music Hall of Fame art museum and research center. The Gospel Music Hall of Fame's mission is to celebrate, educate, capture, and showcase gospel music's historical impact on American society. The future Hall of Fame will be an international cultural arts destination that educates and inspires visitors of all ethnicities and religions as they experience the rich history of gospel music through interactive attractions.


Gospel Music Hall of Fame at Busch Stadium - Sept 2nd 2023

Watch the highlights from the Gospel Music Hall of Fame's Gospel Day at Busch Stadium from August 27, 2023, as we prepare for this year's Gospel Day Fest at Busch Stadium Saturday, Sept. 2nd. This year's Gospel Day will honor the women of gospel and sports with special guest Jackie Joyner-Kersee throwing out the Honorary Pitch.


Tickets are on sale for $30 to sit in the Left Field Lodge section at Busch Stadium. All ticket proceeds are for the event and towards development of the future Gospel Music Hall of Fame Museum and Cultural Arts Center. The Gospel Hall of Fame and cultural arts center will pay homage to gospel legends such as Thomas Dorsey, Willie Mae Ford Smith and Zella Jackson Price, while we engage guests through a state-of-the-art theater, technology-driven museum, and education center, and unique event space. The Gospel Music Hall of Fame of Missouri will be a platform to not only celebrate and commemorate those who have made a significant contribution to the history of Gospel music but will serve as an educational facility and concert hall to encourage all who are exploring the gospel music industry as a career path.

On October 26, 2021 The Future Hall of Fame Caught Fire,

but The Vision Still Lives

Check out the news clips surrounding the lighting strike that struck the church's steeple, which led to a six truck fire crew to put out the blaze. However this fire has not stopped us nor the community to see this vision brought into fruition. We're need of your support to help keep the light of the vision during bright for all across the country and the world to take notice.
